GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR ALL VENDORS

  1. Applications are accepted on a space-available basis. Submission of an application does not guarantee booth space.
  2. The BBQ Festival on the Neuse Committee cannot guarantee that other vendors will not duplicate your type of craft or items.
  3. Non-profit vendors must include proof of their non-profit status with their applications.
  4. Arts/craft vendors must sell hand-crafted items made by them or a member of their immediate family; vendors selling mass or commercially produced items should select other/commercial.
  5. Provide a clear and accurate description of your products on the first page of this application, in the blank area below, or include an additional page if necessary.
  6. All booth sites will be assigned two weeks prior to the event and confirmation letters will be sent to you approximately 10 days prior to the Festival.
  7. Registration fees are non-refundable with the exception of cancellations made prior to March 31, 2012.
  8. Due to the magnitude of the BBQ Festival on the Neuse, it is impossible to schedule a rain date or indoor alternative site. Therefore, the Festival will run on the scheduled dates regardless of weather.
  9. Each vendor must provide his/her own display, tables, and chairs. Canopies are not required but are recommended.
  10. Do not exceed the space that you have rented even if the space next to you is empty. Spaces are 10' x 12'. You may rent as many spaces as you will need to display your wares.
  11. Vendors must keep the area around their space(s) clean and free of trash.
  12. Vendors are required to set up on Friday between 2 and 4 p.m. Security will be provided for Friday night.
  13. Vendors must observe Quiet Time after 11:30 p.m. Friday.
  14. All vendors must continue to occupy their assigned space(s) until close of the Festival at 4 p.m. on Saturday or they will be banned from participating in the following year's festival.
  15. All vendors must clean up the area around their booth space(s) before they leave at the end of the day.
  16. The BBQ Festival on the Neuse Committee reserves the right to remove any vendor from the Festival if it feels the vendor is in violation of the rules and regulations or the spirit of the Festival. BOOTH FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED IF THE VENDOR IS CONSIDERED TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THE RULES.

Additional Guidelines for Food Vendors – Including Beverages, Snacks, and Desserts. (Commercial Food Vendor opportunities available. For details and application phone 252-527-1131 extension 23)

  1. Selling of any beverages, snacks, or desserts that can be consumed during the Festival constitutes a "Food Vendor" and is subject to the fees and regulations set forth by the Lenoir County Environmental Health Department.
  2. Food vendors must have a permit from the Lenoir County Environmental Health Department and this application for this permit must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the event date. Permits must be obtained and submitted directly to the Lenoir County Environmental Health Department . Forms may be printed from their website at www.co.lenoir.nc.us/documents/tfea.pdf and mailed to: Lenoir County Environmental Health Department, PO Box 3385, Kinston, NC 28502.
  3. Food vendors must deal directly with the Lenoir County Environmental Health Department regarding temporary food establishment fees and requirements. Our contact person for the event is Diane C. Andersen at 252/526-4248, ext. 7257. Please call her with any questions regarding food inspection.
  4. You may sell only the food items and drinks listed on your application and approved by the BBQ Festival on the Neuse Committee. The number of vendors may be limited. This is to protect you and other vendors by eliminating duplications of food items and beverages.
